SM Job Fair Marks 500th Milestone and Expands Future-Ready Skills Access



On August 12, SM City Daet hosted the 500th SM Job Fair, marking a major milestone in SM Supermalls’ nationwide advocacy to make employment accessible. Since its inception, the nationwide program has connected approximately 330,000 jobseekers with thousands of employers, resulting in more than 42,000 applicants hired on the spot (HOTS).


In partnership with the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), local Public Employment Service Offices (PESO), and industry partners, SM Supermalls continues to utilize its nationwide mall footprint to shorten the distance between talent and opportunity.

Bridging Technical Skills and Careers with TESDA


To address the evolving needs of modern industries, SM Supermalls collaborated with the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) to host the World Café of Opportunities (WCO) for National Tech-Voc Day. At the SM Mall of Asia Music Hall on August 24, over 1,000 jobseekers connected with 54 employers offering more than 4,000 opportunities.

  • TESDA Skills Compass: Launched during the event, this digital platform provides career guidance and job-matching capabilities based on technical competencies.

  • Hands-On Upskilling: Showcased practical demonstrations in HVAC, autonomous robotics, animation, driving, and coffee barista skills.



  • Free Workforce Training: SM has provided free upskilling programs in AI, digital literacy, and cybersecurity to more than 1,600 learners nationwide.
