For millions of Filipinos navigating EDSA, the daily commute is becoming safer, more seamless, and more convenient. As SM Supermalls continues its transformation journey beyond retail and shared spaces, its malls are evolving to make transit connectivity easier for everyday commuters.

Through dedicated pedestrian infrastructure—developed in coordination with the Department of Transportation (DOTr), Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH), and Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA)—SM is addressing key commuter pain points along Metro Manila's busiest thoroughfare.

SM Megamall EDSA Busway Concourse and Pedestrian Bridge


The completion of the SM Megamall EDSA Busway Link connects SM Megamall directly to the Ortigas station of the EDSA Bus Carousel.

  • Shorter Walking Distance: Replaces the need to navigate the congested MRT-3 footbridge, providing a direct route to bus platforms.

  • All-Weather Protection: Features a fully covered, elevated enclosed pedestrian bridge spanning EDSA to shield commuters from rain and heat.

  • Universal Accessibility: Equipped with wide ramps and elevators to serve persons with disabilities (PWDs), senior citizens, and pregnant women.

  • Direct Transit Access: Simplifies boarding for northbound trips to Monumento and southbound trips toward the Parañaque Integrated Terminal Exchange (PITX).

SM North EDSA–MRT 7 Link


Ongoing construction of the SM North EDSA–MRT 7 Link will create a seamless pedestrian connection between the mall and the Grand Common Station. Once operational, this covered elevated walkway will enable safe foot traffic between MRT-3, LRT-1, MRT-7, and surrounding commercial hubs.

Under its broader transport integration initiatives, SM Supermalls aims to reimagine the daily journey by embedding accessible, well-lit, and ventilated commuter facilities directly into its core developments.
